Prevention of Dental Caries in Hamsters by an Endo-1,3-{alpha}-D-Glucanase

An endo-1,3-{alpha}-D-glucanase was evaluated for its dental caries-preventive efficacy in male Syrian hamsters. The enzyme significantly reduced both total caries and carious area scores.
