Personality Factors Affecting the Preschool Child's Response to Dental Stress

Responses to dental stress were evaluated in 26 preschool children during an initial examination visit_ Measures of the children's developmental status and personality were collected during a home visit. Significant relationships emerged which suggest that personality development influences children's ability to tolerate dental stress.
