Autoimmunity and Breach of the Blood-Epithelial Barrier
Thomas Lehner
Department of Oral Biology and Pathology, Guy's Hospital Medical School, London, England
Humoral antibodies were correlated to oral mucosa by various histological and microscopic technics. The results were applied, by immunofluorescent studies, to the theory of autoimmunity in oral lesions, specifically aphthous ulcers. Delayed hypersensitivity in cellular reactions was also suggested.
