Figure. Specimen preparation and microtensile test results. (A) Preparation of specimens. Roots were sectioned (i), and the enamels labial aspect was ground flat (g). In Group A (teeth, n = 8), resin composite was built up in an increment (A1), and in Group B (teeth, n = 8), 3 separate composite resin blocks were placed (B1). Restored teeth in both groups were sectioned (A2, B2), and specimens (100 and 39, respectively) were tested in tension. (B) Microtensile test results.
