(A) Characterization of various molecular forms of MMP-3, -8, -9 in the GCF samples studied by Western blotting; and (B) characterization of MMP-9 studied by gelatin zymography (11% acrylamide separating gel containing 1 mg/mL gelatin). These experiments were done for seven periodontitis patients and five healthy controls.
