The activation of inflammatory cells and consequent release of mediators play an important role in the resorption of mineralized tissues. In the present study, we examined the ability of dentin extracts to induce inflammatory cell recruitment and activation. We showed here that dentin extracts triggered an intense cell migration and progressive cell maturation, in a time- and dose-dependent manner.
