Correlation of Thermal Shock Resistance with Thermal Compatibility Data for Porcelain-Metal Systems

A stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed to determine the relationship between thermal shock test results and dilatometry data on porcelain-metal systems. A high degree of correlation was found. Finite element analysis was also performed to determine residual stress and induced transient stress states.
