The Effect of Mouthrinse Containing Calcium Glycerophosphate on the Chemical Composition and Development of Plaque in HumansDivision of General Dentistry
Department of Growth and Development
Department of Oral Medicine and Hospital Dentistry, University of California, San Francisco, California Children rinsed twice daily with one of two concentrations of calcium glycerophosphate or a placebo. Plaque was collected at two-week intervals for eight weeks, and Löe and Silness Indices determined. Results indicate a lower index rating and a higher phosphorus content for experimental groups than for the control at the four-week examination.
