Local Clearance of 131I-4-Iodoantipyrine in Oral Mucosa and Subcutaneous Tissue of CatsDepartment of Oral Biology and Pharmacology, School of Medicine and Dentistry, Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia 30902, USA 131I-4-iodoantipyrine clearances from injection sites in oral submucosa were at least twice as rapid as clearances in subcutaneous tissue in cats. There was a positive correlation between the rapidity of clearances in the two tissues. Epinephrine, a vasoconstrictor, depressed clearances in both tissues, whereas papaverine, a vasodilator, increased clearances.
