Effect of Zinc Oxide-Eugenol Cement Containing Monofluorophosphate on Fluoride Uptake and Solubility of EnamelDepartment of Pedodontics, College of Dentistry, University of Iowa. Iowa City, Iowa 52240, USA
Department of Pedodontics, College of Dentistry, University of Iowa. Iowa City, Iowa 52240, USA Sound enamel blocks had significantly higher fluoride concentrations after being placed in contact with zinc oxide-eugenol cements containing monofluorophosphate in vitro than control blocks covered with no cement or a conventional ZOE cement. The acid solubility of intacl enamel surfaces after exposure to ZOE cements containing MFP also was reduced significantly.
