School of Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine and the School of Dental and Oral Surgery, Columbia University, New York, New York 10032, USA Three doses of a lozenge were administered in two locations to 30 individuals (including six smokers) assigned to five 6 by 6 Latin squares. The two locations, the corresponding dose-response curves, and the effect of smoking were compared. No significant differences in the dissolution times were found.
