School of Dentistry, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan Five zinc oxide-eugenol cements of varying compressive strengths, similar in other qualities, were used in a blind clinical study of luting temporary restorations. On the basis of retention, ease of removal when required, and ease of cleaning the restoration, two of the cements were found to serve best.
