Dental Caries in Gnotobiotic Rats Inoculated with Lactobacillus casei

Dental caries was produced in three strains of gnotobiotic rats inoculated with Lactobacillus casei. A high-sucrose (L-2000) diet induced greater caries activity than a coarse-particle (modified Hoppert-Webber-Canniff) diet.
